Operation C.A.R.E. (Community Assisting Restoration Efforts) impacts the community in three primary ways:
Historic Homes Preserved: By stopping leaks, fixing structural problems and applying new paint, historic homes will be preserved for another generation. Existing homes are the most affordable, too; for many, it is their only asset.
Homeowners Lives Improved: Prior to the volunteer days, work is done to seal the envelope of the house, to make it weatherproof and comfortable and to lower utility bills.
The Community Is Improved: A house with a fresh coat of paint and improved front facade gives the street a facelift and can be inspiring to others in the community.
